Tree Root Claims Liaison Group

This Group has been set up to encourage and promote greater liaison between all sectors involved in the Forum, specifically in relation to tree root related subsidence.

The current Chair is Andrea Plucknett, Insurance Officer at Welwyn Hatfield Council and any queries about the Group may be directed to her at A.Plucknett@welhat.gov.uk.

A workshop was held on 3 August 2011 at Welwyn Hatfield Council offices which was well attended by over 50 delegates from all sectors. The workshop aimed to draw out views and opinions on current priorities and barriers in handling tree root claims, the sharing of skills and knowledge, mitigation and recovery protocols and the benefits of a peer review system.
