Property Repair Focus Group

There was a good attendance at the inaugural meeting of this new task group to draw up terms of reference and identify areas of concern. The Subsidence Forum is well placed to act as a focus for claims for other insured perils in addition to those for subsidence.
Areas of interest that have been identified include asbestos, flood resilience, oil and other contaminants, building regulations, health and safety issues and escape of water claims. Initial activities will include preparing a glossary of reference documents. The next meeting will be held on 22 September at BRE Watford. Loss adjusters will be particularly welcome.
