AGM 2009
Posted on Thursday 8th January, 2009
At the AGM held on 29 April Nigel Barham (GAB Robins UK Ltd) was elected Chairman of the Forum for the forthcoming year. As there were two nominations for vice chairman Geoff Davies (Ellipta) and Sne Patel (Crawfords & Company) a ballot is currently being conducted. Jill Maclean (Lloyds TSB) the outgoing chairman presented an overview of the activities undertaken during the last year and informing members that the forum now had some financial stability.
Following the AGM there was the “great debate” with guest panellist Peter Osborne (Treesubs Ltd) quoting poetry to Michael Lawson (OCA UK Ltd) on the subject of “Trees are more important than insurers profits”. The discussion was ably referred by Roger Bulkeley (UK Drainage Network). Probably the most interesting subject during the debate was “the tree officers – friend or foe”. The result of the debate was an honourable draw.
